The California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA) is a professional membership association representing California naturopathic doctors (NDs). The CNDA is incorporated as a California mutual benefit 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation.

Dr. Angela Agrios ND - President

Angela AgriosDr. Angela Agrios completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and her post-graduate doctoral training in Naturopathic Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine, in Portland, Oregon. She has been a California Licensed Naturopathic Doctor since 2007 and has served on the Board of Directors for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association since 2009.  In 2010, she accepted a position as a House of Delegates Member for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dr. Agrios founded and maintains a naturopathic private practice in Pacific Palisades, CA. In addition to private practice, she educates the public on preventive health principles through a variety of means, including: lectures, magazine and video interviews, and social media. Dr. Agrios also regularly partakes in advocacy work that supports the growth of the naturopathic medical profession at large. Her ultimate aim is to help create a health care paradigm that is preventive, restorative, safe, cost-effective and accessible to all.

Dr. Deborah Gleisner ND - Vice President

Deborah Gleisner practices as a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Professional Midwife in Los Angeles.  Dr. Gleisner's approach to healing focuses on nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle changes and bodywork. She is a strong proponent of hydrotherapy, and employs science-based and evidence-based therapies.  She views the care of a patient's health as a long-term, collaborative partnership between doctor and patient. 

Her undergraduate degree is in Mathematics with a minor in music.  She worked in the health care administration field as a database administrator for a number of years before returning to school and attending Bastyr University.  While at Bastyr she spent a lot of time tutoring and TAing a number of different classes, as well as running the Herbal Ways club.  She finds herself as a new graduate in a new state, starting her practice and wondering what happened to the rain.

Dr. Abida Wali ND - TreasurerAbida Wali

Dr. Wali received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington and her B.S. in Chemistry from University of California at San Diego.

Dr. Wali is passionate about providing the best care for her patients at Ocean Pacific Integrative Health Center(www.opintegrativecenter.com) in Carlsbad and Murrieta as well as bringing natural medicine to the global arena. Following her passion, Dr. Wali has participated in several global healthcare relief efforts: volunteered with Relief International ® for Pakistan earthquake relief, participated in an interventional pilot study with the Tibetan refugee population in Dharamsala, India, and worked with the NDI (Naturopathic Doctors International) physicians in providing free naturopathic medical care to underserved communities on the Island of Ometepe, Nicaragua.

Dr. Wali's is committed to supporting global health care for underserved communities. Her long-term goal is to establish at least one free integrative clinic in a third world country while continuing to offer Naturopathic Medicine in Southern California.

Dr. Simon Barker NDSimon Barker

Dr. Barker received his degree from Bastyr University in Seattle. He spent three years practicing in a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Southeatern Connecticut before moving to California. While on the East Coast, he set up satellite clinics in three further locations. He was an Associate Professor of Clinical Studies at the University of Bridgeport, Connectricut. He has written question for the national Naturopathic licensing exams. He served as the vice-president of the Connecticut Society of Naturopathic Physicians in 2003 and is currently the President of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. TV appearances include Veria's "Naturally Delicious," KVCR's "It's Your Call" and PBS' "American Health Journal" series about Naturopathic Medicine. He see patients of all ages for all types of conditions but the majority of his practice is the supportive care of patients with cancer and hormonal issues such as thryoid disorders and diabetes.

Dr. Elspeth Seddig ND

Seddig HeadshotDr. Elspeth G. Seddig attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she was a Bachelors of Science Double major. Soon after, Dr. Seddig is a received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medcine in 2001 from the  National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She has a certificate in Environmental medicine, which is a huge part of her practice. She started Pacific Heights Naturopathic Clinic, P.C. in San Francisco in 2005, at a time when Naturopathic medicine was so new to California that she was the actually fifth ND in the city. Prior to living in the Bay area, Dr. Seddig founded Acadia Naturopathic Clinic on the coast of Maine, a practice which she sold yet is still running under a new name.

Dr Seddig is a member of the AANP and the CNDA. She enjoys working with a full diversity of patients and is passionate about increasing awareness of Naturopathic medicine both statewide and nationally. She is a natural detective and educator, bringing to the Board her experience with practicing in two states, having been exclusively in private practice for over a decade.

Dr. Elizabeth Korza ND

Dr. Elizabeth Korza received her undergraduate degree from HampshireCollege in Amherst, MA and her doctorate from NCNM. She is the founder of Be Well Naturally (www.bewellnaturally.org) and the Berkeley Naturopathic Medical Group (www.berkeleynaturopathic.com). She works primarily with women's health and endocrinology, though also sees many people with gastrointestinal and cardiovascular health challenges.

Dr.Korza is a member of the CNDA, AANP and AHG. Prior to finding her way into medicine, Dr. Korza was an international yoga instructor and a therapeutic early childhood education specialist. Dr. Korza has a long history of social change advocacy work and is excited about the opportunity to join the CNDA Board and direct her efforts towards furthering the work of our profession. She currently lives in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Virginia Osborne ND

Dr. Osbornegraduated from the accredited National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), Portland, OR in 1995 following a 17 year career as an RN with critical,

emergency and cardiac experience. Upon receiving her ND, she has established practices in Colorado, Montana, Oregon and California.

Dr. Osborne is an IV therapy Academic Instructor and Clinical Department Supervisor at NCNM/Natural Health Centers simultaneously researching and developing research for the use of IV micronutrients in treatment modalities. She has served as a board member of many state and national associations, contributing to the NPLEX exam since 1999.

Dr. Osborne is a co-founder of IV Nutritional Therapy for Physicians, lecturing and developing workshops on IV nutrition, chelation and clinical emergency since 2001. These workshops provide complete training to physicians internationally for the safe and effective use of intravenous nutrient therapies. A co-author of Parenteral Micronutrient Therapy, a book written for physicians in 2004, she is currently working on the next generation book on IV Nutrient Therapies as well as many other published articles on the use and effectiveness of IV nutrient and chelation therapies.

Dr. Emily Dashiell NDEmily Dashiell Photo

Dr. Dashiell earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of California, Santa Cruz followed by her doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.  The focus of her practice is in women’s health, pediatrics, and digestive complaints, however, she regularly sees patients of all ages with a broad range of conditions and concerns. A former collegiate swimmer and competitive triathlete, her knowledge of the high demands of serious athletics and the importance of proper nutrition and health are integrated into her practice. 

Born and raised in west Los Angeles, Dr. Dashiell is happy to have returned to California to practice medicine and practices in beautiful Santa Monica. She has been involved with the CNDA since 2004, and is proud to be co-chair of the Professional Development committee and to serve of the board of directors.  Other professional memberships include the AANP and Ped ANP.  She additionally teaches nutrition to students at Bauman College and works part time as a Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard in the summers, as she has since 1997.
