Dr. Gina Nick ND - President Dr. Gina L. Nick, NMD, PhD is a
licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor, President of the California Naturopathic
Doctors Association and a recognized leader in the field of Integrative
Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los
Angeles; where
she received College and Latin Honors and a graduate of Southwest College of
Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences where she was awarded her Doctorate
Degree at the age of 23 and received Distinguished Honors for her work in
nutritional biochemistry, homeopathy and herbal medicine.
Dr. Nick is a featured expert on
the cable TV show Fine Living Network (HGTV) and is often quoted as an expert
in popular magazines such as Woman’s World, First for Women, Yogi Times,
Better Homes and Gardens, Remedies, Diet & Fitness Magazine and Woman’s
Day. Dr. Nick is the researcher and formulator of a variety of highly
reputable, clinically researched nutritional supplements. She is the author of
hundreds of published and peer-reviewed scientific documents on natural
medicine, and is the inventor of several formulation techniques specific for
the natural products industry.
Her most recent patent projects
involve the formulation and use of nutraceuticals and herbal medicines designed

Dr. Monique Mazza ND - Vice President Chair, Legislative Chair Dr. Monique Mazza earned her doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the leading center of natural health education, National College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her philanthropic spirit often leads her beyond the borders of the USA where she participates in volunteer outreach projects to underserved populations in Central and South America. In recognition of these accomplishments, Dr Mazza was recipient of the prestigious Benedict Lust Award. Dr. Mazza is currently in private practice in San Diego, specializing in gastroenterology. She is actively involved with the CNDA and currently holds the position of chairperson of the legislative committee. drmazza@calnd.org
Dr. Amy Day ND - Secretary Chair, Membership Chair Dr. Amy Day received her doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR and was among the first NDs licensed in California. Dr. Day has a women’s health practice in San Francisco at SOMA Acupuncture and Natural Health Clinic (http://www.SOMAacupuncture.com) and is a western medicine faculty member at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a physician member of the Endometriosis Association where she strives to improve integrative care for this condition. As a member of the Board of Directors for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Dr. Day is committed to expanding patient awareness of and access to natural health options. drday@calnd.org
William Bond MBA - Treasurer, Executive
Director, Fundraising Chair Mr. Bond holds an MBA and was a Ford fellow
at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. He also
holds a BS in engineering. While completing a specialization in
Services Marketing in 2002, he co-authored a paper for Southwest
College of Naturopathic Medicine to help strategically align the
profession with patients and better compete in the healthcare market.
He also manages a Naturopathic Clinic, Synergy Natural Medicine Clinic,
near Pasadena, CA with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Wicher. Mr. Bond
brings over 15 years of experience to the CNDA in the areas of
corporate sales and marketing, and small business and startup

Dr. Arlan Cage ND, LAC Dr. Arlan Cage, ND, LAc, MSOM, MS, graduated
from Whitman College in 1983 with
a bachelors degree in Physics and Astronomy, and from Florida Institute of
Technology in 1985 with a Masters degree in Space Technology. He worked for 16 years in the aerospace
industry supporting a variety of rocket and satellite programs including the
Space Shuttle, specializing in rocket propulsion systems and attitude control
& guidance systems of un-manned satellites.
In
time, a growing interest in health prompted him to pursue a career in
alternative medicine. In 2002 he earned
his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of
Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. While at Southwest College, Dr. Cage
lead a team which conducted the first homeopathic proving of the plant Larrea tridentata, or Chaparral. This research was published in the Spring 2004
issue of Simillimum, the Journal of
the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians.
He
opened the first Naturopathic clinic in the South Bay region of Los Angeles county in
2003, and began pursuing a degree in Oriental Medicine at the prestigious Samra University in Los Angeles, the oldest college of Oriental
Medicine in the U.S., finishing
in 2005.
Dr.
Cage has taught undergraduate physics, as well as a biophysics course
specifically for schools of Oriental Medicine, and has co-authored a textbook, Wu Li: Principles of Physics for Oriental
Medicine. He is currently a
contributing author to the Foundations Project, a collaborative, international
effort to produce a new textbook on Naturopathic Philosophy, which is a
synthesis of the traditions of Naturopathic Medicine and the advances of modern
science. Dr. Cage's chapter is on the Physics
of the Vital Force.
Dr.
Cage has post-doctoral certifications in the treatment of Wilson's Temperature
Syndrome, and Esoteric Acupuncture. He
is a professional member of the American Holistic Health Association, the
Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, the American Association of Naturopathic
Physicians, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, as well as the
California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
He
continues to manage his clinic, South Bay Total Health, and specializes in
Endocrinology, Women's Heath, and the treatment of chronic illnesses. He is the formulator of his own line of
herbal and nutritional supplements, Dr. Cage's Herbal Remedies. drcage@earthlink.net Dr. Marco Vespignani ND Dr. Marco Vespignani received his doctorate from Bastyr University. After graduation he completed his residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. Dr. Vespignani has a strong interest in environmental and functional medicine. Dr. Vespignani treats patients in the Napa Valley and Davis. He is the Chair of the CNDA Insurance
Committee. The committie is focused on allowing patients greater access

Dr. Holly Lucille RN, ND Dr. Holly Lucille is a past president of the
California Naturopathic Doctor’s Association and a graduate from the Southwest
College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she received the prestigious “Daphne
Blayden Award” for her “Commitment to Naturopathic Medicine, academic
excellence, compassion, perseverance, a loving sense of humor and a positive,
supportive outlook”.
She has worked with the LA Free Clinic providing
health education, promotion and prevention in the public health system and Dr.
Lucille is on the clinical staff of Renaissance Malibu, an addiction and
recovery center, where she applies the principles of Naturopathic Medicine to
serve people in recovery and is also on the faculty of the Global Medicine
Education Foundation, a teaching organization aimed at understanding the common
threads of spirituality, ecology, culture, relationships and community inherent
in all approaches to healing and was recently awarded the “SCNM Legacy Award”
for her “contribution to the advancement and development of the field of
Naturopathic Medicine.
As well as having a clinical practice focusing on
individualized, comprehensive naturopathic medical care, Dr. Lucille lectures
throughout the nation and has been featured on Lifetime Television for Women
and the Discovery Health Channel as well, been a guest on a number of radio and
television shows. She is the author of Creating and Maintaining Balance: A
Women’s Guide to Safe, Natural, Hormone Health. (IMPAKT Health, 2004) and
recently joined forces with Jon Benson, the author of Fit Over Forty to develop
“NaturaPause” an informational audio program focusing on nutrition and exercise

Dr. Dennis Godby MA, ND Dr. Dennis Godby is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, and a graduate of NCNM, in Portland, Oregon. He is the founder and director of Diabetes Natural Path Center in mid-town Sacramento, the mission, of which, is to reverse the diabetes epidemic. Dr. Godby is attempting to bridge the gap between conventional and alternative medicine, as a Complementary Medicine Affiliate with the Sutter Center for Integrative Health. He works with Sutter Health as a Diabetes Wellness Coach, and is a member of the Diabetes Coalition of California, Institute for Functional Medicine and Physicians for Social Responsibility. Dr. Godby has spent the last 25 years as a social justice and nonviolence activist, especially regarding U.S. policy in Central/South America, which included a 3,006 mile run across the United States, in 1984-85, to protest U.S. involvement there. He spent several years living in Guatemala and Ecuador, and took various trips to the other Central American countries, to support justice there. He speaks fluent Spanish, and uses it extensively at his clinic and in the Hispanic media.He earned his Master’s degree in Theological Studies, and taught a high school social justice class for seven years, before attending NCNM. drgodby@calnd.org
