Veteran Los Angeles healthcare attorney, Tracy Green, Esq., gives a nuts and bolts survey of legal issues facing naturopathic doctors and their practices, and specific risk management approaches available to minimize legal exposure and financial risk. Areas discussed include scope of practice, medication management, referral fees, selling products to patients, sharing office space, managing employees, business insurance, handling patient complaints, and license discipline issues.
Tracy Green, Esq., Managing Principal, Green Associates, specializes in health care law - civil, administrative and criminal. She has handled a wide variety of cases and currently represents a number of health care providers in litigation in both federal and state courts, as well as clients under active administrative, civil and criminal litigation by the HHS Office of the Inspector General, the U.S. Department of Justice, the California Department of Justice, and various United States Attorneys’ Offices. Her clients have included hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and individual doctors, including many alternative medicine practitioners.
Ms. Green’s many professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and California Public Defenders Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
At professional conferences nationwide, Ms. Green speaks on defending health care fraud cases, representing professionals in criminal and administrative matters, and appropriate responses to government investigations.
