Goals: To provide an overview to practitioners about the pharmaceutical treatment of common cardiovascular disease and disorders.
Objectives: Health care practitioners will learn commonly used Rx medications for common cardiovascular diseases and disorders such as hypertension and congestive heart failure. They will be able to describe indications, mechanism of action, warning, precautions, side effects, drug and herb interaction, and nutrient depletions of pharmaceutical drugs used to treat cardiovascular disorders

Objectives: At the end of the presentation, attendee will be able to:

• Incorporate into his/her practice the use of nutritional supplements and accessory food factors for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure.
• Cite relevant research related to the use of dietary modifications, nutritional supplements, and accessory food factors for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure
