SB1446 was signed into law by Governor Brown!

We are thrilled to be able to announce this great news!!!

The timing couldn't have been more apropos. On Friday, many in our naturopathic community gathered in La Jolla to celebrate a profound day in the history of our medicine - the opening of a new naturopathic medical school: Bastyr University California. Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod (the author of SB1446 and our previous bill) had just taken the stage to say a few words about why she has been a champion for our medicine, when the fantastic news that our bill had been signed came from Sacramento.

Thank you to Senator NeGrete McLeod and her wonderful staff, our fantastic lobbying team in Sacramento Capitol Partners headed up by Kathryn Scott and Judy Woolen, our incredibly diligent and hardworking CNDA Legislative Committee headed up by Dr. Minna Yoon, Francine Davies Executive Director of the Naturopathic Medicine Committee (NMC), Dr. David Field Chair of the NMC and to YOU our amazing community and supporters that worked so hard each step of the way to help us make this happen.

Passage of SB1446 has clarified that nutritional IM and IV therapy is within the independent practice scope of California licensed Naturopathic Doctors as per the intent of our original practice act SB907 (Burton).
