In-District Legislator Meetings are Kicking Off!

The time has come for naturopathic doctors and patients to schedule meetings with their legislators! We are asking YOU to visit your legislator this December and do some basic education about naturopathic medicine.
Many of you have been in contact with the home office to let us know that you are willing to organize a visit to your legislators or attend a meeting organized by a fellow doctor. Thank you to our current volunteers! If you haven't contacted us yet but want to get involved, you can contact Lauren ( at any time or visit our Advocacy page.

The legislation the CNDA will be introducing in 2014 has the potential to drastically improve patient access to naturopathic doctors in California. Our legislative team and lobbyists have worked incredibly hard over the last year conducting research, preparing evidence, holding meetings and drafting language to gear up for this effort - but to successfully pass any legislation, legislators need to hear from YOU!

We need all of our doctors to get involved by educating your representatives about naturopathic medicine, and by engaging your patients to also become advocates. Patients can share firsthand success stories with legislators and give heart to our cause. In-district meetings are brief (~30 minutes), take place in your local district (not Sacramento), and play an invaluable role in gathering the support necessary to successfully pass a bill into law.

Visit the
Advocacy page to learn more about getting involved and donate to the CNDA so that we can continue this vital legislative work on behalf of the profession!

You can also visit the
District Meetings Preparation page (members only - you must be signed in to access) to watch our 15 minute webinar about how to prepare for and what to expect from an in-district meeting.

This bill's success depends on the involvement of each and every one of US!

Please join your community NOW and let's make this happen!

Naturopathic Advocates

The CNDA is working to educate state legislative and insurance agencies as well as the public on the benefits of naturopathic medicine. We will continue to build relationships in the naturopathic community in an effort to optimize the impact of the naturopathic doctors in our state.
