ND Volunteer Supervisory Agreement for Covid Vaccine Administration

ND Volunteer Supervisory Agreement for Covid Vaccine Administration - Update February 2021
The CNDA has been contacted by many of you wanting to know how to volunteer at California Covid Test and Vaccine Administration sites as NDs.
The CNDA has been contacted by many of you wanting to know how to volunteer at California Covid Test and Vaccine Administration sites as NDs.

Since early January, we have been attempting to get NDs listed as essential workers on the CA Dept. of Public Health drop down list. We have also been in contact with the CA DCA to procure a waiver allowing NDs to administer the Covid vaccine. Unfortunately, we have not had confirmation from either.

Of course, you can still volunteer in many capacities, but ideally, you should be able to administer the Covid vaccine based on your status as Primary Care Providers (PCP). So, in order to create some sort of remedy we have asked Dr. Stephanie Berg, ND, JD to write a special MD/DO Supervisory Agreement that you can provide at the volunteer site.

This agreement would allow you to volunteer in a medical professional capacity in order to administer the Covid vaccine for the duration the pandemic.

For more information about COVID-19 and what you can do to keep healthy and safe, visit the Centers for Disease Control at cdc.gov or your local health department's website.

Sincerely,

Kathy Konst

Naturopathic Advocates

The CNDA is working to educate state legislative and insurance agencies as well as the public on the benefits of naturopathic medicine. We will continue to build relationships in the naturopathic community in an effort to optimize the impact of the naturopathic doctors in our state.
