Meet The CNDA Professional Development Committee

Creating professional opportunities for California Naturopathic Doctors through volunteer service and action with professional development.

PD Member Testimony

Have you ever been to a really great conference...one that revived your love for your profession and stoked new flames of interest?

Well, that conference was organized, from conception to the very last question asked, by a group of people dedicated to making a difference. The CNDA is no different. Meet the Professional Development Committee.

Who is the CNDA Professional Development Committee?

We are a group of dedicated naturopathic doctors, just like you, who want to help colleagues source the most cutting edge research, clinically relevant practice insights and business essentials. Our goal is to provide the best resources possible so that you can thrive in practice and our profession can thrive in this state.

The following are just a few examples of projects your PD Committee supports annually:

  • Plan and develop the annual CNDA conference, 10 clinical webinars and 1 Business Basics webinar per year.
  • Evaluate and approve CE credits for the CNDA and other organizations.
  • Create documents and other supporting materials for our doctors to use in their practice, i.e. MD/ND Supervisory document, Starting a Practice Handbook, etc.
  • Make CE events accessible and convenient.
  • Build professional relationships with allied naturopathic organizations and naturopathic doctors, as well as medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and other professional healthcare organizations.

Our Vision for Professional Development

Simply put, our vision is to be the best. To be known for partnering with the best speakers, for offering the most current information, and for helping our doctors to cultivate community.

We are the voice of our profession. If there are topics that our fellow NDs want to learn about, we make it happen. We research and reach out to the leading professionals in the field and provide the best learning opportunities to our doctors through webinars and conferences.

But We Can't Do It Alone

The PD Committee, just like all committees within the CNDA, is run by a group of your colleagues who volunteer their time.

And as a diverse community of professionals, having adequate representation is perhaps nowhere more important than in the PD Committee. Since we all have unique backgrounds in terms of training, experience and specialization, we need your knowledge to help fill the gaps.

How Can You Help?

All it takes is an hour of your time. Seriously. PD Committee meetings are held once a month and last approximately one hour. Where else can you create an impact with that kind of time?

We hope you'll consider joining us on our mission to provide the best resources for our talented professionals.

Naturopathic Advocates

The CNDA is working to educate state legislative and insurance agencies as well as the public on the benefits of naturopathic medicine. We will continue to build relationships in the naturopathic community in an effort to optimize the impact of the naturopathic doctors in our state.
