Diagnosing Digestive Disorders: How to Differentiate Symptoms for Accurate Diagnoses

Naturopathic Webinar 67

with Dr. Kathleen Janel, ND

NW67: Diagnosing Digestive Disorders: How to Differentiate Symptoms for Accurate Diagnoses

This presentation will focus on the foundational principle of treating the patient, not just the test, by outlining the key symptoms for a comprehensive GI history and their correlation to treatable causes. We'll explore successful cases from my practice (national and international) demonstrating effective treatment of diverse digestive disorders.

A critical review of diagnostic tools will cover SIBO testing—when to pursue it—as well as the limitations, benefits, and outcomes of stool testing, including various parasite testing options. We'll also examine the limitations, benefits, and best practices for food testing.

Finally, the presentation will delve into novel treatment approaches for IBS/SIBO aimed at permanent symptom resolution, review treatment options/diet and management for Acute Diverticular Disease, and explore effective treatment options for managing GERD and associated symptoms.
